PROPS are proud to deliver the ASDAN CVQ (community volunteering qualification) levels 1 -3. It is a vocational qualification which many of our volunteers have undertaken in order to provide a means to recognise and accredit their voluntary activities as well as rewarding their contributions and making them even more effective as a volunteer.
Among some of our candidates who have obtained this qualification are members of Bristol Rugby Club. Some of the squad mentored our students through sport and leisure activities whilst they were working towards a sport based pre-entry qualification and they in turn used this experience to gain a level 2 volunteering qualification.
Currently we are delivering CVQ to several candidates at our business enterprise after school club. The volunteers are mentoring our students through an ASDAN short course whilst using that valuable experience to gain a level 2 qualification themselves.
We don’t just offer the CVQ to individuals, it can be carried out in the workplace as staff training to encourage team work and raise awareness of all kinds of issues including time and stress management, health and safety and equal opportunities.
