WelshBack Health and Fitness Club
WelshBack is a fine example of a corporate social Responsibility policy in action. Props and Welshback have developed a mutually beneficial relationship during their long association.
Through our Business Enterprise scheme, students have manufactured the WelshBack uniform to exacting standards in partnership with our business partner, BallyHoo. In return Welshback have dedicated one of their own instructors to tutor our special needs students through a range of health and fitness coursework. Activities range from spinning classes to boxercise.
But it dosnt end thee, Chris Nichols, one of Welshbacks principal tutors, is following our Community Certificate in Volunteering course which addresses issues and offers tuition on being more effective at working in the special needs community.Chris adds:
“ Following the course has helped me analyse my own communication skills, as often I am confronted with students who need alternative methods. I really enjoy tutoring the students, and feel they are making great progress in addressing personal fitness issues. The scheme has really brought us together, and the club as a whole is better off for it”
