Bridesmaids again at Bath Fest

The Props Barbarians fielded a strong inclusive side for the Best in the West Bristol and Bath Charity Sixes. Nick Trivetts team took on the Mazda Sponsored “zoom zooms” in the first round, going down narrowly 3-1. The Zoom Zooms pipped us last year to take the title, and so it proved to be again this year.
With eight teams battling for the trophy, The Barbarians managed to keep a clean sheet for the remaining games, with some impressive barbarian rugby on display from the Bristol Ladies, Briarwood Students and England International David Rees. Back in the fold were Cleve stars Nathan, Jacob and Luke, with guests from as far a field as Sherston!
An enjoyable afternoon was had by all, with the highlight being the complete body hair waxing of Bath’s Jimmy Dean! JImmy, raising money for Ladies Rugby in Bath, put on another fantastic event, and we pass on our thanks to the entire community department.The return leg is set for August 7th at North Bristol Rugby Club
So, the Barbarians finish in runners up spot again, and now look forward to the return event in Bristol.
