Life Long Learning
PROPS are an inclusive special needs organization who provide a range of services for those with learning difficulties.
Based at the Vassall Centre in Bristol, we provide a range of life enhancing opportunities for young people when they have left school.
Working with a range of community partners, we offer real life long learning opportunities based on individual needs of students. Our services are normally accessed via Social Services and the direct payments scheme, but our charitable activity contributes significantly to our high quality delivery.
The development of independent living skills is central to our ethos, and working with our community partners, our students will work towards awards and qualifications in the following areas:
The World of Work. Real vocational experiences and training in our own print production workshops, complimented by opportunities and experiences in workplaces such as IKEA, Adeline’s Social Farm Project, Avon Railway and local educational establishments.
Healthy living. Including a unique partnership with City Centre Health Club, WelshBack
Skills for life. With specialist input from agencies such as BOSS (employment advisory service), Barclays and community partners such as Bath Rugby.
Supported living skills. Residential opportunities to develop independence skills
At The Vassals Centre in Bristol we are perfectly placed to unite with a modern and stimulating environment that promotes equality. Find out more about Vassals here

Our name “PROPS” comes from our roots in the rugby community, and indeed, we have adopted the ethos and values of the famous “Barbarian” rugby teams of the past, and adhere to equity, excellence and inclusion.
