PROPS are an inclusive special needs organization who provide a range of services for those with learning difficulties.

Pathways and opportunities for Progression

Based at the Vassall Centre in Bristol, we provide a range of life enhancing opportunities for young people when they have left school.

Working with a range of community partners, we offer real life long learning opportunities based on individual needs of students. Our services are normally accessed via Social Services and the direct payments scheme, but our charitable activity contributes significantly to our high quality delivery.

 

The development of independent living skills is central to our ethos, and working with our community partners, our youngsters engage in a variety of contexts to promote work skills and social interaction.

Those accessing our service have a number of options, and following initial assessment, can choose individual pathways that are best suited to their need with three main themes:

 

Guided Independence

We offer a supported environment that works towards the development of basic skills and looks to maximise independence skills in a vocational environment

Progressive Development

Aimed at students who can demonstrate that they can acquire skills through diploma accreditation and working alongside social enterprises, the programmes lead to outcomes that prepare youngsters to progress to sheltered work placements or part time working.

Life Long Learning

For students wishing to add value to work experiences, placements and volunteering opportunities and perhaps wishing to acquire awards and qualifications to enhance job opportunities and progress to other providers.
